The Shiva Group of Companies ("Shiva Group", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Policy explains what we do with the information you share when you chat with our official WhatsApp number or visit shivagroup.co.

What We Collect

When you message us on WhatsApp, we may collect:

  • Your name and WhatsApp number

  • The content of your messages and any attachments you share

  • Vehicle of interest, location, budget, test-drive or service preferences

  • Email address, if you share it for booking confirmation

  • Vehicle registration number or service-related details when booking a service

  • Message delivery info from WhatsApp (delivered / read)

On our website, we may collect basic browsing logs (IP, browser, pages viewed) for security and analytics.

We don't ask for sensitive documents (Aadhaar, PAN, bank statements) over WhatsApp. If those are required for a finance or registration step, our staff handles them in person at the dealership.

How We Use It

We use your information to:

  • Reply to your enquiry

  • Book and confirm test drives and service appointments

  • Refer you to a dealership, OEM, finance partner, or insurer when you ask

  • Send reminders and follow-ups for confirmed bookings

  • Improve our customer service (anonymous analytics only)

We do not sell your data, and we do not share your messages with advertisers.

  • Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) — messages travel through WhatsApp's infrastructure.

  • Barium Intelligence LLP — our technology partner, who runs the AI assistant and unified inbox on our behalf. See babot.barium.in.

  • Shiva Group dealerships and service centres — for the location nearest you when you book.

  • OEMs and financial partners — only when you ask for a referral.

  • Government authorities — only when legally required.

Marketing Messages

We only send promotional messages (new launches, offers) if you opt in. To stop receiving them, reply STOP in the same WhatsApp chat at any time.

Your Rights

You can:

  • Ask us what information we hold about you

  • Ask us to correct or delete it

  • Withdraw consent at any time

  • Raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer

To do any of the above, email grievance@shivagroup.co. We respond within 30 days.

How Long We Keep It

We keep enquiry chats for as long as is reasonably needed to serve you and for a short period afterwards. Confirmed sale and service records are kept as long as tax and motor-vehicle laws require.

Security

We use industry-standard security including encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS), access controls, and audit logs. WhatsApp's own end-to-end encryption protects your messages in transit between you and our number.

Children

This channel is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from minors.
